*I* have a corporate client in New York City that has a need for a* **DB2
Database Programmer*. This is a 1 year extendable contract. The consultant
* **must also have* experience as an* **IMS Database Administrator*. This
will require a phone and face to face interview. The hiring manager prefers
local candidates since there will be face to face interview. The job
requirements for the position are below. I can submit 5 candidate for this

*Senior Database Systems Programmer **(DB2/IMS)** **with** **IMS DBA** **
Skills*
· Minimum of* **8 years’* experience as
a Mainframe Systems Programmer along with several
years’ experience as an* **IMS DBA*.
· Primary responsibility is* **migration* of IMS databases to DB2
for z/OS.
· Seeking a bright, creative, responsible, conscientious individual
with strong communication skills.
· Responsibilities include systems programming tasks for the
mainframe databases and tools using* **SMP/E.*
· Installation and maintenance of mainframe database software* **(IMS
and DB2)* as well as all supporting tools.
· Requires experience with* **DB2 Data Sharing*,* **DB2 subsystem
performance and tuning*, and* **capacity planning*.
*Prior experience with any of the following would be a plus:*
DB2 for LUW
BMC and IBM DB2 toolsets
DB2 database administration
DB2 SQL performance analysis and tuning
