The candidate will be trained on this application. This contract is scheduled for 6 months but will go longer if the candidate does well. Requires .Net3.5,WCF,Crystal reports,Ajax,some SQL Server stored procs T-SQL & web application. *POSITION ROLE: * ASP.NET Senior Software Engineer *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES*: The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, maintains and enhances multi-tiered .NET business applications. These business applications may be transactional or analytical in nature. Individuals holding this position may be assigned to project teams, work independently, or may lead others on a project team, as assigned. The focus of this position is on the Team Assessment application and the maintenance and enhancement of this system. Utilizing various tools, the chosen contractor will work with our Enterprise Data Warehouse team, the Team Assessment application team, and DBAs to provide data to the Team Assessment data mart. Incumbents must have a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs, and collaborate with business staff, IT colleagues and other stakeholders to evaluate defined complex business requirements and processes, assess available technologies, determine infrastructure and recommend solution options. Incumbents design and build application solutions which may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. *Because this position interacts with multiple groups, excellent spoken and written communication skills are essential.* *SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:* Be willing and able to understand business processes as they relate to the Team Assessment application. Analyze impact of requirements outlined by Business Analysts and propose functional and technical solutions. Consider usability and build for performance during all phases of development. Adhere to architectural principles and standards for software development, data, and security. Be responsible for unit-testing changes made to the application and work with other team members in the system testing and debugging of programs; participate in overall system and performance testing; support implementation of the application into production. Provide production support and troubleshooting of software incidents once the application has been implemented into production. Provides detailed, high quality documentation at appropriate level to allow for maintenance and extension of application. Provides input for estimates and timeframes during all project life cycle phases. *POSITION QUALIFICATIONS* *EXPERIENCE* 5+ years of in-depth experience in object oriented business application design and development in a complex client server environment. *TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE* · Structured and object oriented design, development and implementation of business applications in current computing architectures. · Systems Development Life Cycle, as it pertains to software development projects · Working knowledge of relevant technologies, tools, and middleware, including development technologies and scripting languages (e.g. VB, VB.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, Oracle, SQL Server, stored procedures, HTML/XML/XSL, COM, DCOM, ODBC, ADO, MSMQ etc.).
