We need Program Manager in *Sunnyvale**, CA**.* Following is the job
description.
*Responsibilities: *
* Partnering with Program/Project Managers at all levels to define project
needs, deliverables and due dates
* Partnering with Program/Project Managers at all levels to combine several
project tracts into single program status to feed into larger Dashboard
* Executing to the agreed upon plan and calling out risks/contingency plans
as appropriate
* Driving cross-functional team deliverables and schedules
* Defining and hitting target milestones
* Managing assigned projects according to plan
* Driving core team/s through tactical issues and strategic planning
* Ensure property kick off process is followed and key customer engagement
milestones are met
* Promote best practices in design, development and deployment
* Work with team and internal customers to conduct post mortems, organize
and prioritize feedback into actionable improvements
* Write wiki documentation to facilitate adoption, training and ease of use
* Managing open issues and working cross-functionally to identify risk and
drive contingency planning & communication as necessary
* Providing weekly status updates and documentation on all projects
(dashboard)
* Ability to think through potential scenarios and drive thorough
examination of solution options – rather than directly apply policy. No two
scenarios are exactly alike, so this individual needs to be able to build
standards, but also navigate through Y! to have a flexible/adaptable
approach for each project
*Minimum Job Qualifications:*
* BA/BS degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
* Project Management coursework and/or experience
* Familiarity with metrics, operations, and the complete product lifecycle
(e.g., MRD, PRD, functional specifications, design specifications,
implementation, PR, marketing, etc.)
* Solid skills in both written and interpersonal communication, in
relationship building, and in collaboration in a cross-functional team
comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets, and levels of experience.
* Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
* Ability (and desire) to work in a fast-paced, energetic and sometimes
hectic environment. Experience with building something from the ground up
and knowing how to adapt process needs as a project and process matures, is
highly desirable.
*Preferred Job Qualifications *
* Experience in developing detailed plans for complex projects involving
challenging requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines.
* Experience on delivering on multiple projects simultaneously, building
appropriate processes and tools, delivering results, and familiarity with
standard project management concepts, practices, and procedures
* Experience with building something from the ground up and knowing how to
adapt process needs as a project and process matures, is highly desirable.
* Formal project management training and/or certification is a plus.
