This will be one of the best guys that exist since the client has some of the best in the business already. In this role you will be responsible to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Oracle 11g upgrade (from oracle 10g) and migration to x86/Linux (or Exadata) platform. This role requires close partnership with Application Development/Build teams, Central Testing Team, Operate and Shared Service DBAs providing the technical leadership with an hands-on approach for complex upgrade/migration related issues, requiring deeper skills. Qualifications: · 10+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, designing/implementing infrastructure solutions for the Database platform (Oracle) for large-scale enterprise · Must have current hands-on DBA experience with Oracle 11g platform · Experience with a large scale (Multi Terabyte Databases) upgrade and migration of Oracle 10g/Solaris to Oracle 11g/Linux is must · Experience with GoldenGate is a Plus · Experience with Real Application Testing (RAT) tool is a plus · Expert level knowledge of Database backup and recovery process and HA solutions like Data Guard, RAC & Streams. · Hands-on experience with different aspect of database tuning, application (PL/SQL) and SQL tuning. · Experience with Veritas Quick I/O, Veritas Cluster Server, Cluster file systems and Volume Manager highly desirable. · Experience with Database Virtualization (Co-hosting and Co-locating) – Nice to have · Expert communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences that include peers, partners, and senior IT and Business management · Experience in making good decisions with limited information · Demonstrated ability of quickly solving urgent performance issues under pressure. *Please share resumes with below details, which saves time...* Consultant full Name*: * Contact no.
