*POSITION: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (C# / .NET)*
Located: Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Duration: 12-36 months
*Candidate must come from a manufacturing environment*
*example, someone who used to work for a medical device manufacturer, or an
engine manufacturer, or some type of company that designs and builds
products would be ideal.** *
*General Responsibilities: *
· Design, develop and maintain marine gauge software and service
technician diagnostic software applications on PC and CE platforms.
· Use production development tools and practices including the use
of source control, issue tracking, technical specifications, Gantt charts
and project organization tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and SourceForge.
· Follow company coding style and commenting guidelines, use of best
practices, and unit testing.
*Technical Skills: *
· Significant experience with C# and .NET framework required
· Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
· Experience with WPF and Expression Blend (for user interface
development) is a plus, but not required.
· Solid understanding of XML, XPath, and XML serialization in .NET
· Familiar with formal development communications such as UML, Moore
and Mealy state diagrams, and software specifications
*Education & Experience:*
- BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering required
- Detailed explanation of how the applicant meets the requirements of
equivalent knowledge in relation to the required degrees listed above is
also acceptable.
*NOTE:* The manager stated that he is looking for at least 5 years
experience in C# development using .NET in a PC-based Windows application
environment. The candidate should also come from some sort of manufacturing
environment where actual physical products are developed, not just software
or websites.
