One of my client is looking for My SQL DBA. Here is the requirement. Position : My SQL DBA Location : Melbourne, FL Duration : 6 Months Job Description: . All phases of administration including installation, configuration, monitoring, optimization, tuning, troubleshooting, backup, recovery and upgrades. 2. Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting a formal High Availability (HA) and Redundant solution within an ASP setting. 3. Position may not require 100% DBA work. Candidate, depending on background, may be asked to perform Linux systems administration and/ or Perl development. 4. Need a seasoned person that can assist developers with the coding, troubleshooting and optimization of queries and functions. 5. Responsible for optimizing schemas, queries and indexes and tuning. 6. Support the building of a robust SQA effort with test data sets, scripts and other expertise to facilitate complex test scenarios. 7. Expertise with SQL Maestro and/or similar tools. 8. Other RDBMS platform expertise with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL in clustered/HA environments is a big plus.
