• Implements a solution that makes best use of vendor technology but allows
for Fidelity customization
Java / .Net developed would assist integrating a vendor-provided treasury
management system into the client’s existing systems. We were told in the
latest meeting that a vendor solution uses proprietary file types and
programming, but an API can be used to interact with the system. The
position would need to be able to quickly learn the vendor provided API and
create additional tools as necessary.
The client has provided that either Java or .Net can be used, with no
preference stated for either.
The ideal candidate would have experience with Agile or XP (Extreme
Programming), both methodology types that focus on collaborative, iterative
creation rather than “one and done” solutions.
*Deliverables:*
• Build and work with APIs as wrapper for vendor specific / proprietary
programming needs
Working within the Fidelity Agile Methodology, the programmer would be
required to deliver scripts retrieving data from and providing data to a
vendor’s treasury workstation system environment. This may include
converting data types and working with the vendor’s programming team to
assure data integrity.
*Acceptance Criteria:*
• Programming experience
• Vendor integration experience
An approved candidate would need to have experience within the Financial
Services arena (with preference given to those who have worked with SunGard
Quantum and its Qutuam-based programming environment or WSS-equivalency).
The client has stated that fit within the team is highly valued—all
candidates will need to be interviewed.
