Develop testing processes and approaches according to ix Sigma/CMM
standards.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized
training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software
Engineering, or related discipline
- Contributes to test planning, test preparation and scripting, and
test execution according to defined best practices, standards and
procedures.
- Interfaces regularly with peers and management regarding test
related topics including the coordination of test related
initiatives with
QA leads, Project Managers, Development Managers, and other QA Core team
members.
- Participates in all phases of the IT Project Delivery Framework,
including review of complex business and functional requirements.
- Strong knowledge on understanding requirements, provide comments on
requirements related to testing is a must
- Experience on derive and build necessary test artifacts from
requirements is a must
- Working knowledge and experience in developing test artifacts like
test scenarios / test cases/test plans etc is a must
- Experience working with onsite and offshore teams
- Expertise with testing tools like Quality Center is a must
- Experience in understanding / writing / execute medium to complex
SQL queries is necessary
- Strong understanding and knowledge on database concepts is also a
must.
- Experience with the Rational products such as Rational Requisite
Pro, Rational ClearCase is a must
- Working knowledge and experience in using file comparison tools is a
must
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MS SQL, Oracle 9i, and 10g
is a must
- Experience in huge data conversion, report testing is a must
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to
fine details
