The Process & Metrics group within IT needs to fill a 12-month Software
Systems Engineer - Senior position. The candidate with the necessary
knowledge, skills and abilities will need to start as soon as possible;
*Work Summary*
The candidate filling this Software Systems Engineer - Senior position will
provide maintenance and production support for internal IT process support
tools and their environments. This includes the scheduling/monitoring of
jobs and problem troubleshooting. The candidate will also write SQL
queries and application code as necessary to support IT metrics data
capture, analysis and reporting.
*Responsibilities*
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Maintaining/supporting SubVersion (SVN) implementation
Maintaining/supporting Dimensions automation
Maintaining/supporting MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
implementation
Maintaining/supporting Hardware Asset Model (HAM)
Maintaining/supporting Silk Central Test Manager
Defining SQL queries necessary to support IT metrics
Writing application code, as necessary
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience: The ideal candidate must have:
· Technical expert in the maintenance/upkeep of MS SQL Server
Reporting Services and the open source SubVersion tool in a Windows
Environment.
· 3+ years of programming experience in SQL, Perl and C#.
· Experience in .net technology is preferred.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:*
· Knowledge of Serena’s Dimensions, Sybase’s PowerDesigner and
MicroFocus’ Silk Central Test Manager tools is a plus, but not required.
· Skilled in using SQL, C#, Perl, SQL Server Reporting Services
Administration, Subverison Tool Administration
*Education*
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, with minor in Computer
Information Systems or business-related curricula, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and
abilities can be acquired is necessary. Certifications in Linux and JBOSS a
plus
