Hi

Let me know if you have any consultants with the following skills

Job : Mainframe testers

Location : Sacramento, CA

Rate : $30/hr Corp to Corp (NO FLEX)

At least five (5) years experience in Test Case creation.

a.. At least five (5) years experience creating manual and automated test
scripts and performing end to end system testing with IDMS and DB2 databases.
b.. Experience creating test data and executing test cases for new
application features. Testing may also encompass regression, usability,
performance, integration, and end to end system testing.
c.. Test Script creation and Test Execution experience on a similar size
project.
d.. Experience with TSO and Change Man common mainframe utilities.
e.. At least five (5) years experience coding in online/CICS and batch COBOL

online/CICS and batch COBOL
g.. The ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced

i.. The ability to work well with a wide variety of personalities and diverse
groups across locations.
j.. 30% weighting for knowledge of IDMS
  k.. 30% weighting for knowledge of DB2
l.. 30% weighting for knowledge of COBOL, JCL, Procs, Parms - all things
mainframe
m.. 10% weighting for knowledge of testing frameworks, methods and practices
(levels, types and techniques) and tools
n.. i.e. HPQC, IBM Rationale Suite

The rationale, which EDD agreed with (specifically Trish), is that the bulk of
the testing is like for like

a.. i.e. a mainframe tester would be running jobs and verifying record counts
and performing file comparisons. Teaching a mainframe tester to use HPQC to
create test cases, test scripts and log defects is straight forward. The need
is for someone who knows there way around a mainframe as we don't have subject
matter experts
