Position: *ASD Configurator*
Location: *Denver, CO. Telecommute may be acceptable for very candidates*.
Duration: *2 - 3 months. Extendable*

*Description:*
Candidate of interest is a person that tests CML software based
configuration models as part of the successful roleout of a production
corporate sales tool. The candidate may modify automated testing systems for
procedural or standard changes. The candidate also participates in the
review of new business requirements and consults with IT analysts and
developers in resolving questions during the testing process. Works with
client and IT management and staff to establish and maintain a consistent
test methodology. Day to day activities of this job include deconstructing
high level requirements in order to test advanced configuration rules into
the ASD configurator. The configurator is based on proprietary Versata CML
modeling software. The individual must have a strong understanding of the
ASD configurator operation for all integrated models. The individual will
work in a strong team environment.
*Skill Set:
*· Applicants must have a BS in Computer Science/Computer
Engineering. Master’s degree preferred. Must have experience with Avaya
product line.
· Experience with UTF, WinRunner and KBQM test suites is a plus..
· Must have strong technical communication skills and analytic
ability as project management discussions with engineering and development
teams are key to success.
· Must have strong project management skills and communication
skills.
· Experience with the Avaya product line is a plus.
· Strong analytical skills in support of working with functional
business and IT owners; planning and problem solving
*Deliverable:
*o Maintain an active role in working with Avaya business owners in
configurator system engineering, configurator development, Sales, Services,
Channel Management and Supply Chain to understand application issues and
opportunities.
o Review and analyze business requirements for gaps, errors,
inconsistencies and opportunities to simplify
o Test all implemented business requirements as specified. This consists
of:
§ Consistency between Configurators
§ Screen Organization and Layout
§ Navigation
§ Question Standards
§ Selection Sets versus Errors
§ Configuration Reports
§ Warning and Error Messages
§ Error and Warning Messages
§ Help content
o Estimate durations for testing of Modification Requests (MRs) generated
from existing business requirements.
o Maintain regression test suites.
o Execute against the configurator schedule and internal handoffs
consistent with published cycle guidelines.
