  *Position Summary*

The Supply Chain Analyst will focus on improving the Client's Transportation
program. This position requires advanced problem-solving abilities and
motivation to improve the outbound transportation program. He/She will work
closely with carriers, fulfillment partners and interdepartmental groups to
optimize the transportation performance while maintaining everyday low
costs. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills are required and will
be used to find solutions for difficult Transportation issues.

*Position Description*

1. Business Analysis – 40%
• Assist with compiling and reporting Transportation-related metrics.
• Provide ad-hoc and on-going analysis of operational performance in order
to minimize Transportation-related dissatisfaction and improve delivery time
to the customer
• Determine opportunities to reduce cost by auditing and analyzing the
carrier invoices
• Develop and maintain process to improve item attribute accuracy.


2. Operational Projects/Process – 40%
• Address operational issues to ensure on-time and accurate delivery by
assigned carrier.
• Utilize business tools and proprietary systems to manage transportation
setup for distributors and carriers
• Partner with Customer Advocacy to resolve one-time and on-going issues
that are driving up expense and decreasing customer satisfaction
• Develop and enhance current process for eliminating “billing information
received” errors for packages never shipped.



3. Cross Functional Teamwork – 20%
• Work with the Operations and Transportation teams to track and resolve
issues with carriers and fulfillment partners; track problems and take
responsibility for their timely resolution
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Merchandising, Customer Service,
Item-Setup and Wal-Mart Corporate Traffic to improve reporting and service
levels.
• Work with Engineering to load appropriate rate tables, zone tables and
updated cost information

*Minimum Qualifications*

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Functional Competencies:
• Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate effectively and
concisely to all levels of management.
• Excellent PC skills including but not limited to MS Access, MS Excel, MS
Power Point, and WN SQL.
• Proven analytical and creative problem solving skills, with high attention
to detail.
• Drive real-time operational issue management

• Ability to balance multiple projects/priorities while managing time
appropriately, recognizing when and what to escalate
• Ability to work cohesively with multiple teams, manage acute attention to
detail with an analytical acumen.

1) Minimum educational level:
• Bachelors degree; preferably in Business, Logistics, Finance

1) Experience:
• 2 –4 years experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Operations, Retail,
Customer Service.
• Knowledge of Domestic Transportation, TL, LTL, Distribution Processes,
E-Commerce preferred
