*Position:* *QA Tester* *with SAS* *Type:* contract *Duration:* 6+ months *Location:* Oakland, CA
*Direct** In-Person Interview required* *Description:* This person will work alongside our developers and business users and will be responsible for creating and executing QA plans, gathering, analyzing, and reporting on quality metrics, and working with the development team to create an effective software release process. This position requires the ability to understand and follow industry testing standards and methodologies utilizing a variety of software tools. This person will become familiar with SDLC and have daily interaction with engineering, developers and users. - Will perform end-to-end testing of ETL dataflows to ensure ETLs are bug free and the data is clean, meaningful and conforms to business requirements. - Will capture test results, create a report with potential red-flags in the ETL processes and work with users and developers to resolve identified data issues. - Will perform regression testing for each release of ETL processes to ensure the existing dataflows are bugfree with new changes Skills/Experience: *· 5+ years in requirements analysis, test planning, unit and integrated test case creation, test data preparation, test execution and status reporting for scalable, distributed, multi-tiered, fault-tolerant applications in Windows and Unix environments (or MS and 4+ years) *· *Need Someone with SAS Exposure or SAS Expertise* · Experience working in a fast paced, collaborative environment and managing continuously changing business needs; excellent time management skills required. · Experience in working closely and building a rapport with developers, product management, and other users · Strong written and verbal communication skills in both technical and user-friendly language · Team player with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills · Experience writing, modifying, executing SQL queries in Microsoft SQL server / Oracle / Teradata · *5+ years experience in non UI based backend testing.* · Strong customer/business orientation is a plus · Experience healthcare highly desirable · Experience testing Java API * highly desirable Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities. - Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs and reporting/decision-support applications -- Sam | SRICOM, INC. | A Certified Minority Business Enterprise Off: 215.666.5305 | Fax: 215.638.8767 2075 Byberry Rd, Ste#105A, Bensalem, PA 19020 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
