Release & Configuration Management - 80% • Lead the efforts for the design, implementation, maintenance and support of the Release program for MTEP • Ensuring a high quality eCommerce platform; develop methodologies to deliver the highest standards in Release Engineering • Understand the complexity and challenges in a multi-geography client & multi-geography vendor environment • Through the technology partners, draft Release Engineering requirements and designs; develop implementation plans; manage issues pertaining to schedule, resources and risk pertaining to Release Management • Proactively recommend and institute process, tool, and methodology improvements in Release Engineering • Track existing metrics and establish new ones to measure the quality of client Global.com functional releases and the quality and efficiency of the technology partner’s Release team • Responsible for the build system, version control system & build tools and for defining & implementing processes for milestone software release • Implement multi-branching & merging of code bases for multi-release, Multi-location development teams • Communicate and collaborate effectively with peers, management, vendors, and interested parties to meet goals 2. Vendor Management - 15% • Work closely with the globally distributed client -Release and partner release organizations to disseminate the product specifications and help envision the product as perceived by the product management team • Working with our technology partners to define, promote, and ensure adherence to Release Engineering processes that addresses the needs of a highly dynamic global eCommerce business; work across multiple partners to establish uniform build and release practices 3.
