Java Swing Developer
The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Java-based
software - both Swing-based user interfaces as well as flexible business
logic and data-access components.
The candidate must have working experience using the Intex API and Desktop.
Key Responsibilities:
The chosen candidate will help make design and implementation decisions for
a system that will replace disparate legacy applications.
The candidate will review design decisions for extensibility, testability,
and maintainability.
He or she will be required to design and develop reliable components that
support high availability and disaster recovery.
The candidate will be required to develop user interfaces with rich features
for internal applications, delivered using a thick client framework.
He or she will be required to properly document work in accordance with the
standards of the team.
Job Specifications: Technical
* 7+ years of object-oriented design experience
* 5+ years of development experience with Java
* 1+ years of development experience with Java Swing
* 1+ years of development experience with Hibernate and the Spring Framework
* 1+ years of development using the Intex API - Intex Wrap preferable.
* Familiarity with the Intex Desktop
* Experience developing robust object-oriented components and user-friendly
user interfaces
* Proficiency in relational database use
* Strong experience with design-for-testability and unit-tests
* Proficiency with software configuration management tools such as CVS and
Subversion
* Capable of mentoring more junior developers
* Understanding and dedication to software development "best practices"

* Proven ability to work in concert with other developers and teams
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple efforts/projects
* Familiarity with the Structured Fixed Income market is required
* Experience with the Intex structured pricing models is desired
