TITLE: Senior OBIEE Developer/consultant
LOCATION: East Hanover, NJ (although some travel (10%) may be required to Chicago, IL & Dayton, OH)
TYPE/DURATION: Contractor / 4 months (with extension into 2011 probable)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
· Develop complex dynamic dashboards with OBIEE
· Experience developing dashboards with drill down capability
· Responsible for summarizing performance trends and highlighting problem areas
· Ability to reuse template/reports across multiple dashboards
· Expert in developing the Business Metadata layer (BMM)
· Migrate dashboards/reports across multiple environments
· Creating, modifying and filtering requests, and format results in OBI EE Answers
· Ability to work on several dashboards simultaneously
· Responsible for maintaining consistency across multiple dashboards
· Responsible for optimizing user experience
· Responsible for applying GUI standards and best practices to the dashboards/reports
· Design dashboards for fast performance
· Expert developing custom stylesheets
· Perform quality assurance & UAT
· Develop documentation & Best Practices
· Responsible for developing and implementing backup and recovery plans
· OBIEE performance tuning
· Monitors queries and report behavior to assure performance expectations are met
· Enhance design of existing OBIEE application
· Think `out of the box` attitude is very important. Ability to develop custom work using programming techniques
· Ability to customize dashboard components such as gauges; progress bars; maps etc...
· Responsible to implement user security
Minimum Requirements:
· 7+ years of experience with OBIEE (Repository Layers; BMM; Alerts; Answer; Dashboard)
· 7+ years of experience with OBIEE Siebel Analytics
· 7+ years of experience with Oracle Database & SQL
· 5+ years of experience designing/developing reports/dashboards with OBIEE
· 5+ years experience data modeling
· 5+ years experience with Informatica
· 2+ year of experience developing BI solutions in the finance industry (Mortgage preferred)
· Expert knowledge in dimensional modeling, design and architecture principles and techniques
· Strong experience with data warehousing systems/concepts
· Excellent analytical; problem-solving and interpersonal skills
· Ability to develop using advanced concepts; techniques and standards
· Must be a strong team player
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision
· Strong communication (written and oral)
· Travel may be required
Preferred Skills:
· Java; HTML a plus
