General Summary APIs, Engineering Responsibilities: The APIs Manager owns the design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, quality and delivery of the APIs framework to interconnect site in a more fluid user-friendly manner. Team will build open API Services as a platform that gives other sites access to network and 3rd party technology through easy-to-adopt bundled API solutions and applies to collaborative services environments where managed service providers and can also outsource specific services to other providers via systems integration. Needs to build APIs bundle to adapt to any business offering within the managed service environment large-scale software applications. He/She has to provide technical leadership, supervision, and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including hands-on software engineering using Java, WS technologies, CSA relational databases, data structures and Object Oriented design, Messaging. He/She will need to build, manage, and develop a team of 5+ engineers, including offshore teams, provide mentoring, and manage resource allocation, lead design reviews and code reviews for engineers, and drive feedback on architecture and design issues. Participate and lead strategic planning to achieve technical and business objectives, and define and drive technical direction in integration area for one of the largest Ecommerce sites on the web. Qualifications 7 + years of hands on development experience working with large scale distributed Ecommerce apps. 3 years of managing a software development team working on large scale distributed systems.
