Lead Oracle 11g DBA with RAC and AIX exp
LEAD Oracle 11g DBA with RAC
DB2 is not critical but a nice to have. The most important things are 11g with RAC in an AIX environment. This knowledge in an ODS and dimensional Enterprise Data Warehouse is very critical.
1) DB2 (z/OS) experience is important – migrating from that environment
2) Oracle RAC experience
3) Explain what is different in implementing a DB in a RAC environment
4) Specific things you do relative to load balancing or turning in the RAC environment
5) Ability to understand differences between OLTP and RDBMS environment, and articulate how to build a data warehouse in an Oracle environment
6) Discuss different partitioning strategies in an Oracle environment, and how to implement them
7) Have previous experience with partitioning
8) Understand low level security in Oracle DW environment
9) Experience using rollover security when designing a program (did I get that right?)
10) Be able to assist project team during EDW implementation and help determine physical limits of the DW
11) Understand DB structures
12) Provide tuning instances
13) Be comfortable in a role where the DBA can report to the lead DBA, and have dotted line responsibility to the EDW team (many ‘masters’)
14) Backup – examples of work using Oracle’s backup utilities
