TITLE: C# DEVELOPER DURATION: 4-6 Months +
LOCATION: NYC Rate : DOE *Main Function* This Role will be required to liaise with various groups such as traders, and product controllers to guide the development and maintenance process in a logical and controlled manner. Tasks will include gathering requirements from traders and other business areas, development, testing, release and subsequent second line support. Significant attention to tracking multiple work items over long development cycles. As part of a dynamic team, the candidate must be flexible in learning a wide range of applications and contributing to their general development and support. Working closely with colleagues in London, New York, and Singapore will be essential to ensure the best solution is delivered in a timely fashion by sharing components and experience. We are looking for an experienced candidate who can hit the ground running and blend with regional and global colleagues. · Client side C# development on a Front Office cash credit trading application. · Quickly and efficiently implement functionality and conduct testing · Work closely with supported businesses including Trading, Operations and Application Management, in providing goal-oriented solutions. · Participate in architectural design, documentation and proposals. * * *Person Requirements* · Minimum of 5 years programming experience. · Strong C# WinForms knowledge/experience using .NET Framework 2.0 · Software design skills (Object Oriented Design and Modeling, Database Design and Modeling, etc.) · Proven hands-on development with Multi-Threaded and highly distributed application framework · Results-oriented, self-starter with positive "can-do" attitude · Take ownership of problems and cross check business-related issues and explore the impact of changes made or required on other systems and business processes · Ability to effectively communicate with senior users in a global, team-based environment · Strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate thoughts, designs, and implementations in both written and verbal form · Work collaboratively intra-/inter- team to achieve success · Enjoy working to deadlines to realize the business benefits associated with IT projects * * *Highly desired* · Some Java, perl, shell scripting knowledge for occasional server-side development and integration with trading application server components. · Understanding of messaging/middleware technologies (Tibco RV, TIBCO SDK) · Knowledge of fixed income products with specific experience building credit trading systems.
