Rate: DOE Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 4months+ Must be local to CA Job Description: The Client has an immediate opening for a software engineer to drive development of tools and algorithms for certain highly visible and crucial projects. These projects are highly collaborative across many organizations within Client Location such as Sales, Manufacturing, Partners and Service Management. This position reports into the Manager. Key Responsibilities Include: 1) Requirements Gathering from key stake holders, Understand the current infrastructure and challenges, Understand the roles, responsibilities and relationship between various team members. 2) Software architecture design of the solution including selection of platform for development, tools and technologies to be used. 3) Documentation throughout the process from Requirements gathering to system functional specification to implementation, testing and integration plans. 4) Development of Tools and Algorithms in accordance with the architecture design. 5) Setting up a Lab and Testing of Algorithms 6) Integration and Deployment - This project is developed in modules by various organization and the final product will be deployed at many customer sites. Successful Integration and Deployment of the entire solution is essential. 7) Reporting on a regular basis to the cross functional team on progress and also present and discuss findings, approach, architecture, tools and technologies. 8) Case Management and sustenance once the solution is deployed at various customer sites. Case management will include analyzing results obtained from customer deployment, interacting with the internal teams and customers to procure products that need further testing and work with the right people within Brand Protection to get the products tested. Must also be willing to: - Proactively communicate with team members in a collaborative environment to understand project requirements - Problem solving and multi-tasking with a high level of pro-activeness in a fast-paced environment - Go an extra mile to understand business requirements, impact and willing to come up with new and innovative ideas to make business processes more efficient, automated and simple.
