Face to Face interview directly *Java/J2EE Brainbench or Provit type test scores are required to be in the skills summary & on top of the resume for this position*** * * * * *Job Duties & Responsibilities: * *Sr.* *Java Developer - * *3* *+ month contract in Chicago, IL * Sr. Software Development Consultant is responsible for leading complex software design projects and will lead the design, installation and maintenance of complex systems/projects. *Responsibilities:* Performs product design tasks of a very high complexity which may require extensive research and analysis and documentation. Expert knowledge of one or more programming languages including Java, program design and specification development, program logic and flow-charting, testing, debugging, and documentation. Works independently on very highly complex programming tasks. Provides analysis of problems, recommends, and implements solutions. Prepares program specifications and develops coding logic flowcharts. Participates in client interactions and business partner discussions, independently, to develop system solutions to business problems. Works within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software. Recommends improvements to established processes, develops implementation plans, and assists in rollout. Initiates and leads improvements to established team processes, design, and coding standards, and influences others to adopt. Mentors more junior developers. Troubleshooting and problem resolution of critical issues that may involve many systems and platforms, within a complex infrastructure. Expect to be working on multiple large projects concurrently. Ability to multi-task is critical. *Required Skills:* 7+ years JAVA and JEE experience in Web front end and services development, working on large complex systems. Experience with Java 5 or higher. Experience with common Java application development related technologies - EJB, Servlets, JDBC, XML, Struts, Web Services, JavaScript, JSP, and JUnit. Experience using standard Java APIs Work within JBoss, WebLogic, and WebSphere application server environments. Self starter with the initiative to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work both independently and as a leader within a team environment. Ability to integrate complex systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem solving and debugging skills. Experience with Java batch processing. Experience with Relational Database Systems, Oracle, JDBC, and SQL. Full knowledge of iterative software development lifecycle and best practices.
