*SQL DBA requirement * Location : WDC / WA (Choice of Locations) Duration : 1 Year Bill Rate : Open *Overview* ** The DB Consultant is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, production support, tuning, and maintenance of internal data extractions and manipulation and activities related to Post Development. This position regularly interacts with Data Architects, application developers, system administrators, project managers, technical requirements managers, and product managers. The successful candidate works effectively independently and cooperatively within a team structure, in both cases striving to achieve shared company goals. Candidates must be skilled technically, attack their responsibilities with minimal direction, and communicate appropriately and effectively within project teams. *Duties and Responsibilities* • Responsible for Clustering, Installing, upgrading, Patching and keeping SQL servers up to date with the latest Service packs • Implementing and maintaining replication of database to ensure high availability and Reporting purposed • Automating system for performing routine database maintenance tasks and alerts (backups, tuning, alerts on system error messages and handling) on all the servers. • Implementing database migrations from one server to another for generating reports and synchronizing the development and production environments. • Perform user data integrity checks by scheduling jobs and stored procedures so that data discrepancies are brought to the immediate attention of the DB team and fixes can be made. • Troubleshooting SQL server connectivity problems and various errors as part of day-to-day maintenance of servers. • Responsible for changing data feeds and database schema in support of changes. • Work closely with our Reporting and Analysis team to optimize the performance • Perform Query optimizations and Assist Application developers with their database needs. • Excel in a fast paced, rapid development environment. • Excellent Communication Skills. *SQL Server Skills/Experience Requirements * • 6+ years of Microsoft SQL Server, Writing complex Stored procedures. • 5+ years in SQL server Replication in a production Environment • 3+ years’ Experience in SQL server Log Shipping • Installing and Maintaining SQL server High availability Clusters • Experience with Backup & Recovery, Security, Performance monitoring and tuning • 3+ years as a Production DBA handling VLDB’s, including Back up, Restore and maintenance of the Databases. • Experience with Business intelligence tools is a plus. -- *Warm Regards Ravi InfowareTech Inc Phone: 972-325-1264*1862 Fax: 214-350-4142 Email: [email protected] www.infowaretech.com HUB | MBE | WBENC Certified.* Please reply with “REMOVE” in the subject line if you do not wish to get emails from us in the future.
