POSITION Title: ETL Developer 

LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN

DURATION: 6-12 Months

Visa:  GC, US Citizens, EAD (Who work on W2, 1099)

 

Mostly we are looking for the "T" in the traditional ETL (Extract,
Transform, and Load) cycle for data conversion / data warehousing activities
and also individuals that can help with the data quality assurance before we
hand off a conversion run to a User Acceptance Testing group.

Considerations for ETL / Data Designer Resource 

Skill Set 

Ability to interpret ERD diagrams 

Experienced in T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008) 

Experienced with data design techniques to migrate data from one format
(i.e. source system) into another 

Quick learner   

Responsibilities 

Produce data mapping (code/software) between the source system and GRiDS 

Quickly obtain competent knowledge of GRiDS Data Model 

Documenting conversion business logic 

Use TFS to store current versions of views, functions, or stored procedures
used in a conversion stream 

Conduct data extracts from a source system's data to assist business users
with validation and user acceptance testing 

Create software to support data transformation activities 

Assist the core conversion team with conversion runs 

Assist with the overall documentation of a Generic Conversion (i.e. help us
gain and record information to facilitate future conversion efforts)
