*Rate : DOE* Job Description: Responsible for gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing system requirements. data flow process, logical design, and business rules for a new database. IC will develop business rules for reports that will be produced from the data base. Reviews and validates data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy. Interacts with user community to produce reporting requirements. Responsible for design and execution of UAT activities. Maintains knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and shells that effectively support the data warehouse and BI environments. Possesses working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse front-end tools. Must have an extensive knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts. Performs work that is highly complex and varied in nature. Develops integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues. Recognized expert internally and externally within a discipline(s) and often provides strategic direction, guidance and integration of products and services. May lead projects and provide guidance/training to more junior staff. Required Skills: Requires mastery technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically possesses 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience. IC must have extensive background in doing business/data analysis and supporting large and complex projects. Must be highly experienced creating data and BI requirements artifacts. Must have skills in communicating with Business Technology team members, business sponsors, report and data consumers, and external vendors. Preferred Skills: Should have Cognos 8 BI experience (preferred) and/or other significant and similar BI experience and skillset. Education/Certifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
