*Duration is 6 months* *Job description:*** This individual is responsible for designing and developing Core Services components for our Branch Net applications. As a member of the Core Services team, you will have the opportunity to partner with the various internal and external application teams to establish a common middle-tier framework that is based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and relies on an Enterprise Service Bus for messaging. Our initial focus will be the front office advisor facing applications. A person in this role will collaborate with the entire range of technical resources within the Business Technology Services (BTS) organization to establish and maintain technology standards and evaluate new technologies and designs to enable Client to achieve its business goals in the most economical, scalable, and supportable way. Key contributor to technical project design, review, research and development. This person will be a senior technical resource who will lead design discussions and actively participate in system evaluations, design, development and implementations. * Maintain existing code base. Partner with other teams to start leveraging our common services framework for legacy advisor facing applications. * Assist in the establishment and maintenance of written technology standards and best practices. Develop clear and organized documentation aimed at both highly technical as well as non-technical, business oriented audiences. * Key Contributor to the development and execution of an enterprise-wide technical roadmap. Key contributor on the recommendations and visions for short, mid and long term technology plans. * Participate in functional teams for systems integration and design, including writing operational specs and requirements management. * Contribute as a senior technical resource for others and act as a technical advisor to management. * Ensure that the systems are supportable and that risk is identified and, where possible, eliminated. *Qualifications:* Prior experience developing SOA capabilities using WCF (both SOAP and Restful). Solid experience with LINQ is a must. Expertise with .NET, ASP.Net, Schema Modeling, SQL, SOA, C#, XAML with Silverlight or WPF, Design Patterns Hands-on experience with an Enterprise Service Bus framework such as Neuron, BizTalk or TIBCO is highly desirable. Familiarity with the state-of-the-art technologies such as Silverlight/WPF, LINQ, Entity Framework, REST, JQuery, Windows. is desirable.
