Education requirements:
4 year degree in Computer Science or related field

Minimum years experience in the following areas:
- 7 to 8 years of Test Lead experience with formal software testing in planning, writing, and executing functional and system tests of distributed systems within a structured software development process.
|
|
|
|
Work related skills:
- Experience in leading and performing testing on large, complex, mission critical integrated systems.
- Web application testing (Weblogic).
- Ability to analyze and comprehend both technical and business documentation.
- Experience with Black Box and White Box testing.
- Function as the QA Test Lead as well as, perform detailed testing and function independently.
- Proven ability at writing and documenting test plans and test scripts for large scale, complex, mission critical, cross-functional projects.
- Ability to conduct testing activities independently.
- Ability to document and report test results.
- Experience using Mercury Quality Center and SourceForge.
- Experience with Lotus Notes and MS Office (MS Project is a plus).
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- IBM Systemi testing experience a plus.
- ISTQB Certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of DB2, SQL, and basic Java skill set a plus.

Additional comments:
This is a Test Lead position that will require project management experience in the testing area as well as performing independent testing. The candidate will work with multiple programming areas as well as be part of a QA team on a large, complex, mission critical, integrated project using Weblogic and Web services. Adhering to FedEx Services I.T. processes and procedures, he/she will review technical and functional documentation as the basis for identifying appropriate test approaches; create, document, and execute system test plans and test scripts; perform data validation; collaborate with the programming staff and other QA testers on cross-system integration tests; analyze test results; record, report, track, and retest defects found during testing; perform other testing related activities to provide tangible evidence that the application under test meets business requirements and quality objectives. Must be able to plan, coordinate, and report all testing functions to the project team.
