I need a GC or Citizen Performance Tester for Riverdale, MD. The client will convert 6 months after contract. Below please find the job description. Six Month Contract to Perm Position in Anne Arundel County, MD. US Citizens or Green Card Holders only. Responsibilities: Participate in the preparation of all test products (e.g., test plans, test strategies, and reports). Create and maintain test scripts and test cases that will be used for manual and automated testing. Execute test cases using various test approaches including functional, integration, system, performance, stress and regression testing. Log defects following defined procedures, track defects through to closure, and interact with members of the development team to resolve discovered defects Contribute to systems requirement definition/analysis. Participate in the analysis, development, and maintenance of new or revised QA procedures and processes. Required Skills: A minimum of 3-5 years of testing experience Must be able to work independently and within a team, manage time effectively to meet all deadlines and accurately perform multiple, complex work assignments. Ability to analyze and translate requirements and use cases into test products (test cases, scripts, reports). Must have an excellent analytical ability with strong background in quality assurance and testing of software applications. Must have excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Experience with performance testing techniques Experience with ERWIN is preferred Demonstrate ability to be a quick study and take initiative to learn new software tools. Must be able to adapt to various high-intensity situations. Experience using automated testing tools, Rational test suite a plus. Knowledge of the IT Software Development Lifecycle and processes. UNIX knowledge is a plus. Experience working with XML and related tools (XMLSpy, etc.) is a plus. Must be proficient with SQL and knowledgeable of relational databases, preferably Oracle. Experience with query tools and command line interfaces highly desired (SQL/Plus, Toad, RapidSQL). Knowledge or experience in a Banking and/or Financial Services Institutions a plus. Experience with Rational Tools is a plus .
