*Position and actual title - Project/Department Coordinator*

*MAX BILL RATE $35.00 Duration of Contract: 6 months*

*Position Summary:*

This position works directly with the individual leading a project. The
Project Coordinator performs a wide variety of administrative duties,
relying upon independent judgment and initiative. He/she supports the
analysis of information requests and the resolution of daily problems. This
individual is responsible for project tracking and controlling and other
project-specific issues. The Project Coordinator must be flexible within the
assigned project, must be willing to move to various projects, must have the
desire to acquire new skills and must be able to maintain confidentiality of
customer and internal information.

*Responsibilities:*

Supports the project in the following areas:

   - Daily administrative activities for the project, including special
   tasks as assigned
   - Independently working on moderately complex assignments involving the
   administrative support of the project
   - Performing special assignments such as researching information,
   preparing tabulations/summaries and information analysis
   - Communicating, utilizing and enforcing standards and procedures for
   project reporting
   - Promoting a cooperative environment and actively engaging in building
   group cohesiveness
   - Building and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors,
   external/internal customers, management and co-workers



Contributes to the project in the following areas:

   - Coordination and preparation of meetings, including the creation of
   materials and presentations for use in the meetings



Assumes responsibility for:

   - Maintaining and updating project calendars, coordinating meetings and
   travel as requested
   - Compilation and distribution of meeting minutes, statistics, status
   updates and other project reports as directed
   - Data entry for project planning, tracking and reporting
   - Maintaining the Project Schedule (plan) using automated project
   management tools, including updating the project database for use in
   analysis, tracking project hours and statistical reporting
   - Maintaining project records, including electronic directory, hard-copy
   files and project notebook
   - Utilization and compliance with internal processes & procedures
   - Maintaining accessibility, trust and the confidentiality of information
   - Remaining proactive and responsive in fulfilling team needs
   - Keeping current on internal and external professional
   development/trends within functional area and relating them to the project
   team and immediate manager
   - Completion of all duties which would otherwise have been assigned to
   lower-level positions when those lower-level positions are not available to
   the department or project

*Required skills/knowledge:*



·         Ability to utilize time tracking system and Project Management
Software

·         Demonstration of PC proficiencies— capable in Excel, Word,
PowerPoint and Access

·         Accounting knowledge recommended

·         Analytical and assessment abilities

·         Highly organized and able to prioritize diverse tasks

·         Ability to work independently, take initiative and follow through
on assignments to completion

·         Flexible in handling changing tasks and deadlines

·         Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

·         Continuously exemplifies professionalism

·         Self-starter who uses good judgment and takes initiative

·         Able to work with various levels of the organization

·         Two or more years of administrative work experience is required

·         Prior experience working in a project team is recommended
