Dataflow has a Sybase database called Single Order which is used to store referential data. This database is highly critical for all the Dataflow processes. We need a contractor to work on its migration. Project Mission: Senior Developer for the migration of the Dataflow database from Sybase to MS SQL. Role: -Migrate the Dataflow Sybase database (Single Order) to MS SQL Server by Q1 2011 -Provide production support and work on small change requests and enhancement efforts on Dataflow applications (Beta/Eliot Feed with RTGen trades, Trade Reporting processes...), -Provide production support and work on small change requests and enhancement efforts on some of the DPR LMM application systems. -Provide maintenance of the production platform and the implementation of some small enhancement requests. Description of the skills/knowledge/expertise required: Mandatory Technical Skills: Perl / Java SQL and Database modeling (Transact-SQL / PL-SQL) Unix / Linux environment Shell scripting (Grep, Awk, Sed) Strong applications development lifecycle experience in a distributed environment Source control CVS and SVN Desired/Plus: Technical Skills: Excellent Written and verbal communication skills Must be able to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously. Excellent problem solving skills.
