Need Data Analyst *Start Date* 9/30/2010 *End Date* 3/30/2011 *Role of Contractor * Data Analyst *Activities * A data analyst who can analyze the data in the source systems - Map data attributes from existing sources to the target reporting data model - Queries, analyzes, and interprets complex data stored in the target systems - Identifies gaps between the target reporting data model and the required attributes identified by business users - Articulates data derivation or transformation rules in business terminology - Creation/modification/maintenance of the conceptual and logical data model & data dictionaries is a plus - Work closely with BA to gather and validate requirements through interviews with business users and developers of existing systems - Assist in creating and maintaining the project plan - Test and validate data flow and reports *Software /Technology Skills Required * -Knowledge of financial services - Expert SQL skills - Strong experience in data Warehouse development, ETL, Datamarts, etc. *Soft Skills and Prior Work Experience (i.e. communication, prior work and longevity)* Skills preferred: - Agile Methodology project delivery experience.
