Candidates work directly with various levels of business and technical staff to determine sound technical solutions for business requirements. Candidates designs, codes, tests and documents **computer programs**. Candidates have full technical knowledge of all phases of applications development and the development technologies utilized. Candidates provide **production support** **for large, complex applications including the ability to resolve problems in constrained timeframes. Candidates may be responsible for mentoring less experienced team members. Candidates may manage small-to-medium projects or components of larger projects. Candidates have strong organization, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience must be current within the last year. Candidates have strong written and **verbal communication skills**. * ** *Candidates must have at least 5 years **software development experience**, including broad exposure to the software development lifecycle. Candidate must have at least 5 years of software development experience with the Sybase PowerBuilder **Integrated Development Environment** **(IDE), version 10.0 or higher. Candidates must have at least 5 years GUI and object-oriented development experience. Candidates must have at least 5 years experience with **relational databases**, including complex SQL accessing a large, complex application database. Candidate must have experience researching and resolving online **production support issues** **of a large complex application. Experience must be current within the last year. A **Bachelors degree** **in IT related field of study is preferred. Experience with web-based design components including HTML, CSS, Java, J2EE, JSP, .NET and the use of the Eclipse development tool is preferred. Knowledge of **project management tools** **such as Clarity, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office or similar products is preferred. Experience with **Microsoft SharePoint**, Visio and Access preferred.
