The contractor will work on mission critical re-architecture projects *Qualifications:* - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, plus a minimum of 7 years of related professional experience. Professional certification and post-graduate degree are desired - Advanced knowledge of Java and J2EE –Minimum of 5 years - Advanced experience with Java Web Application framework - Minimum of 3 years of strong practical experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate - User Interface Design experience is a plus - Minimum of 2 years experience with Ajax technology and Javascript/Ajax - Strong practical experience with relational database management system –working experience with Oracle is preferred - Working experience with Web services and service oriented architecture principles is a must - Minimum of 3 years of working experience with design patterns, continuous integration, automated unit test and test driven development - Work experience on large scale projects is a must - Solid experience with WebSphere or equivalent application servers - Strong interpersonal skills - Demonstrated proficiency at following Iterative development life cycles and associated standards and procedures - Demonstrated experience in Object-Oriented Design - Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment *Responsibilities:** * - In collaboration with the manager, architects and Lead software engineer performs analysis, design, development and unit testing of complex software applications; and resolution of defects. - Works with project lead engineer to develop project estimates, tasks and schedules - Provides project status updates to project lead - Helps with development of system documentation according to established standards. - Participates in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews.
