Description: This individual will perform design and planning activities on Sun Solaris, SUSE and Red-Hat Systems. This will include designing and documenting client solutions as well as providing guidance and procedural direction. Administration of the UNIX and Linux environments including validating environmental health and providing day-to-day support is a key area of responsibility. Performance Management using tools such and BMC Enterprise Performance Assurance, Storage Management in partnership with the Storage team, Engineering new solutions/RPMs and Patches in partnership with Engineering organization are additional areas of responsibility. The individual will also research, analyze and incorporate emerging technologies into the UNIX environment.
