Client prefers people have *experience with multiple testing tools*. He did mention that a plus is WATIR/FITNESSE/SELENIUM – open source ones." *Quality Assurance Analyst- Automation * Responsibilities: Working with the Business Analysts and Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Analysts create test plans that exercise expected functionality of the system. Create test plans for: Boundary conditions and unexpected conditions to insure that the software is reliable and robust. Hardware and software compatibility. Performance and scalability based upon specifications. Error handling and expected recovery of the system. Create automation to exercise test plans. Execute tests in a manual or automated fashion. Report defects using the defect tracking tool-set and process. Continually seeks, identifies, and proposes opportunities to improve process & procedures, Promotes the sharing of knowledge, tips, and techniques with team and organization members. Develops quality assurance standards. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Requirements: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least four years experience in Quality Assurance environment or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Proven experience in creating and implementing test strategies and detailed test plans. Knowledge of Internet and enterprise software technologies including web and application servers and testing on multiple browsers. Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies. Must be able to prioritize changing responsibilities in a fast paced environment. Excellent analytical ability and communication skills Strong technical skills including SQL programming. Experience with Exploratory Testing techniques a strong plus. Experience in Agile Development environments a plus. Experience with automated testing tools and modeling tools a plus. Experience coding in C, C++, Java a plus.
