*Application Administration Analyst *

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 6 months

Rate: $40/Hr Max



*Overview:*

We currently have an opening in *Philadelphia* for a *Production Support
Analyst* with strong drive and experience in providing application
infrastructure administrator for high volume business critical systems. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in Application Administrator
to maintain, monitor, and manage a suite of business critical applications
(3rd party and in-house developed) within a fast paced support environment.
The Administrator is expected to assist in the development and deployment of
applications, configure processes and application settings, manage system
interactions, and resolve day to day application issues, as well as
excellent communication skills.

*Responsibilities:*

·       Install/upgrade and configure applications within a UNIX/Linux
environment

·       Maintain and troubleshoot application issues including performance
concerns

·       Monitor performance through a suite of tools available including
application logs, Perl scripts, audit trails, and proactive monitoring
applications

·       Respond to user escalations and concerns through Remedy tickets and
direct calls

·       On-call support after business hours

·       Consult with internal and 3rd party development teams to design new
products

·       Coordinate with internal and 3rd party development teams to work
through issues and provide end user solutions

·       Develop interfaces and integrate diverse components through
programming, scripting and other methods.

·       Maintain detailed knowledge of server products in the marketplace,
including hardware and software such as operating systems, security
features, peripherals, applications, and local area networking technologies

·       Work with other staff in project teams, including serving in a
leading role from time to time

·       Assist with the creation of test cases

·       Support internal and external departments with application
questions.

·       Assist with database update and reporting as needed

·       Assist with budget process including planning and architecture

·       Participate in conference calls and meeting as needed

·       Actively participate in department meetings and department training.


·       Perform miscellaneous duties on an “as needed” basis.

*Qualifications:*

·         Multiple years in operating within a service organization

·         Min. 3 years experience with Unix and Linux

·         Min. 3 years experience with Windows 2003 Server

·         Min. 3 years experience with Perl for scripting in UNIX and
Windows environments

·         Min. 3 years experience with Relational Databases; Oracle and SQL
Server preferred

·         Familiarity with modern programming languages

·         A basic understanding of billing systems is a plus

·         Strong customer service focus including an emphasis on customer
satisfaction

·         Must demonstrate strong communication skills - both written and
oral.

·         Flexibility to adapt and respond to changing needs and
requirements

·         Strong organizational skills including the ability to coordinate,
prioritize, and manage multiple activities.

·         Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and
deadlines consistently

·         Demonstrates ability to work under pressure

·         Demonstrates ability to work in teams as well as independently
with little supervision

·         Proficiency tools, such as Word, Power Point Presentation and
Excel
