Title – COBOL Developer Duration – Full Time Position Location - Cedar Rapids, IA or Chattanooga, TN. Responsibilities:- •Develops specifications for new and existing systems. •Will deal with clients to determine needs and requirements. •Will provide training to co-workers, and prepare presentations. •Provides direction on projects and requires minimal supervision. •*Designs, codes, tests, and documents programs and sub-systems. •*Designs systems, sub-systems or program. •Coordinates with co-workers, clients, operations, technical support, and vendors. •Interfaces with clients to determine requirements, resolve problems, and perform testing. •*Analyzes system and program requirements. •Solves problems with systems and programs. •Performs training services. Prepares presentations. Provides direction on projects and requires minimal supervision. •*Demonstrates a clear understanding of software development. •*Demonstrates an "above average" understanding of software development and research tools. •*Ability to lead analysis and design of complex and/or cross functional systems. Qualifications:- •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. •Minimum of 5 years work experience. Additional qualifications:- •*5+ years of COBOL programming skills. •*Experience with coding JCL streams. •*Experience with Connect: Direct file transfer. •*Ability to work with Endeavor, DB2 utilities, FileAid and FileManager. •*Strong analytical and problem solving skills in COBOL/DB2. •*Experience with advanced DB2 concepts (e.g., nested expressions and DTT) and JAVA a plus.
