Job title: Websphere Commerce Engineer Location: Walnut Creek, CA Job Type: 6+ months contract Rate: Market Responsibility: The Websphere Commerce Engineer will be responsible for architecture, infrastructure, and application support of a highly available and high-performing Websphere Infrastructure. The Senior Websphere Commerce Engineer will utilize creative problem solving skills, a thorough understanding of e-commerce concepts and design considerations needed to build supportable and extensible websites, experience with various integration strategies, and capacity analysis. The candidate will be responsible for managing the environment installation and configuration, administration, and tuning of a complex distributed environment. This includes day to day working with Application Development on the day to day troubleshooting of this environment. Qualifications: The following are required unless specifically stated as preferred or desired: Knowledge: . 5-7 years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration with Websphere Commerce and Websphere Application Server . Strong knowledge of AIX and Linux (including clusters) OS (5+ years) . 3-5 Years eCommerce Admin experience supporting high volume web sites . Extensive experience with the J2EE framework including Java, EJB, JSPs and Serverlets, JDBC, SOA, JMS, XML . 3-5 years IBM Database experience . Significant experience in establishing, running and supporting a highly available, redundant server environment . Working knowledge of networking and switched network technologies . Experience with enterprise monitoring suites is a plus . Experience with XML, Web Services, WebSphere MQ and other integration solutions; Single Sign On / LDAP / Portal integration; Payment Processor integration; JSTL and the creation of new tag libraries; DynaCache modeling and configuration; agile development methodology. . Bachelor's degree in an engineering or computer science field. . Experience in Retail Industry preferred Skills: .
