POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Physical database tables and design, works with system administrator and uses data dictionary software packages to ensure data integrity and security, recovers corrupted data and eliminates data redundancy. Uses tuning tools to improve database performance. Works with the application development teams, focusing on the back-end portion of data storage considerations and performance considerations for application systems being developed.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
The Oracle contractor will be working on the Gateway application. Their focus will be on the following:
· Gather requirements from the Application team, vendor, and Oracle to create a logical and physical design of the Oracle RAC environment.
· Assist EDBA team with the install, creation, and maintenance of the Oracle RAC.
· Troubleshoot issues during performance testing, and provide recommendations based on prior experience with high volume processing within a RAC environment.
· Document entire RAC process as it relates to HCSC IT infrastructure.
· Work closely with other areas of ITG (Unix admins, SAN admins, Windows admin, Network, etc..)
