People should be local enough we they can get to Allentown, PA for the interview. The client typically does a F2F interview and then the candidate needs to go to another location in PA once selected to do an all day background check. Responsibilities will include: . Working in a team environment supporting operational issues, projects for business application environment; and implementation, configuration, management, monitoring and support of the database environment . Performance monitoring as well as backup and recovery . Development and improvement of processes and procedures supporting the DBA group, including process automation where appropriate . Investigation and testing of new database feature and development of strategies to implement them . Providing database security support including password changes, security patches, SOX reporting and compliance related activities . On-call support Skills: . 5 years DBA experience . DBA experience with Oracle and SQL Server database technologies . Oracle experience with OEM, Data Guard, RAC and OAS . Strong Unix/Linux shell script writing skills as well as VBScript writing skills for Windows platforms . Unix, Linux and Windows server operating skills .
