*Job Title : .Net /silverlight developer* *Location : Liberty Corner, NJ (( Locals only))* *Duration : 6+ Months Contract* *Responsibilities include but are not limited to*: Participate in the development of Actuarial applications. Collaborate with internal users to identify technology-based solutions in pursuit of better efficiencies. Design, build, implement, and support applications that meet or exceed business objectives. Interface and communicate effectively with business leaders in nontechnical terms. *Required qualifications:* Played the role of a lead developer or architect in building complex object oriented applications. Minimum 5 years of experience in developing multi-tiered solutions using .NET. Minimum 1-2 years knowledge and experience working on complex Silverlight applications. Technical skills to master application development: understanding of relational database concepts, and other skills involved with implementing an advanced web application. Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and test software products. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience creating successful (well-received) GUI designs and application workflow. Experience creating data-model designs, including appropriate use of normalization, indexes and constraints. Experience managing a code base as part of a team using a source control management system (such as VSS, TFS, PVCS, CVS, Subversion, etc.). Flexible, enthusiastic approach to work including a strong desire to learn a new product and a new business domain. *Desired qualifications: * Experience working on Actuarial applications. Experience or Knowledge of modeling tools like CATRADER, CLASSIC2 or RMS. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server - stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages, and general optimization techniques. Hands-on experience using SQL Server 2005/2008 is a plus, but basic familiarity is expected. Experience implementing XML Web Services. Experience working with Team Foundation Server.
