Looking for best possible candidate. *Title: PeopleSoft Performance Tuning Specialist* Code: REF2L Location: Bay Area (Peninsula), CA Duration: 1 year plus (initial contract will be 6 months) Positions: 3 *Job Description* The PeopleSoft Performance Tuning Specialist will lead activities related to troubleshooting, identifying bottlenecks, monitoring performance and implementing solutions that address performance. This role will require the ability to view the entire PeopleSoft application architecture stack including web server, application server, database server, operating system, storage and network to get to the root cause of performance issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Information provided *Description*: - Identify performance issues in PeopleSoft. - Track and get to the source through root-cause analysis. - Apply tuning methods to appropriate areas and test them in a non-production environment. - Create performance baselines to compare against tuned programs. - Experience with Oracle and SQL language (MS SQL experience is valuable). - Resolve problem areas such as index, code, SQL or infrastructure. *Qualifications* *Required Experience:* - Minimum 8 plus years of proven experience in PeopleSoft implementations, upgrades, integration. - Minimum 8 plus years of experience with PeopleSoft technology (app/batch/db/web) and with DBMS like Oracle (must), MS SQL Server, DB2 etc. - 4 plus years of hands-on performance tuning experience of PeopleSoft applications. - Bachelors’ degree in science, math, computer science, engineering, management information systems or related fields. - Previous experience with software, entertainment or gaming industry is valuable. *Other required skills:* - Oracle & MS SQL DBA experience - SQL Tuning - PeopleCode tuning - Batch process tuning - Application / Web server tuning/optimization - Apply & implement/change based on best practices - Root cause analysis, Base-lining, Load Testing, Scripting * * *Thanks & Regards* * * *Easwar.
