Batch Process Engineer Contract 6 months New York Downtown Technical Skills: Very strong batch process/script debugging skills, CA Unicenter Job Management, BMC Control-M, Informatica PowerCenter, Sterling Commerce ConnectDirect, PERL, UNIX Shell Scripting, JAVA, Strong experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems. Familiarity with SQL scripting and Sybase. Working knowledge of Version Control Systems and release management. Non-technical skills: Excellent English language/Communications skills, both written and oral. Good Organizational Skills. Good Customer Service skills. Have a basic understanding of Finance. The ability to multitask projects, follow procedures with good decision making skills along with the intuitiveness to know when to escalate issues. Ability to document issues, resolutions. Production/DEV/UAT Support for Batch, ETL and connectivity services for the Private Wealth Management Data Warehouse and Online applications. Responsibilities would include providing 24x7 support for enterprise class Batch Scheduling, Connectivity and ETL Infrastructure. Investigation and remediation of Production problems. Proactive monitoring and optimization of Batch Infrastructure. Work with the application development (Build and Operate teams) community and downstream systems in the adoption of best practices with regards to Batch and ETL processing.
