*Duration: Permanent* *Salary: $* * * *Overview: This is an exciting, strategic role that combines the competencies of strategy consulting, deal structuring and project management, BI Presales work with C-level executives at corporations to define both short-term and long-term business/technology strategy; create iron-clad business cases through the use of Data Visualization tools; and build strategic roadmaps. Internally, presales initiate cross functional projects teams on high-value BI engagements as well as develop thought leadership for our client that is the envy of every other global software deliver organization.* * * *Responsibilities: * * * *1) Facilitate/Participate in executive discussions as they relate to business processes and data visualizations. * *2) Communicate with business executives about how they utilize information and then facilitate a solution determining alternative and additional business solutions. * *3) Using Data Visualization tools, translate business needs and data to functional dashboards that meet end users expectations addressed by the capabilities of their source systems.* *4) Educate business executives about how their data can be utilized to transform their business.* *4) Assist in the sale of a much larger Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse services engagements by supporting the technology architecture and personnel assessments resulting in performance goals and benchmarking. Resulting in the implementation of proof-of-concept modeling and planning to yield successful professional services engagements and full software development life-cycle deployments.* *5) Participate with Sales Executives in their respective BI sales pursuits. * *6) Assist in statement of work generation* *7) Coordinating on-shore and off-shore internal resources to translate client BI needs to the Business Intelligence delivery team for broader BI delivery.* * * * * *Project – variables/overview/misc: (special instructions for this role) * *Presales projects will be defined as discrete two week Data Visualization engagements for each Line of Business, with the goal of developing Data Visualizations for every line of business at an organization. * * * *Required skills/Must haves: * *1) Executive presentation, training and communication skills* *2) Broad understanding of Business intelligence landscape and data warehousing techniques* *3) Functional use Data Visualization tools such as Business Objects * *4) Expert use of data modeling through mock-up implementation techniques including the use of ER-diagrams, logical and physical modeling, normailization, ETL, and SQL skills. 5) A solid foundation in the (BPM) business process management suite. Green belt or higher certification is a plus. 6) Expert use of Microsoft Access and Excel with special emphasis on data transformation, financial calculations, statistics, pivot tables, and complex functions. A knowledge of (VBA) visual basic for applications is a plus.* *7) Accomplished in translating complex business needs to optimal graphic representations* *8) Assist sales in managing complex accounts, in fast response environments * *9) Knowledge of following is not manditory, but will be consider helpful:* *Microsoft SharePoint and Portal deployment* *End User Visualization Tools ie.
