·         Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator

·         Database Administrator (Oracle 10g)

·         *Minimum of 3 years experience* as an Oracle DBA in the
Wintel/Linux environment – in current positions



Database Account / Table Administration



Resources provided in support of this service objective will be responsible
for assisting Marathon staff in administering and maintaining the Oracle and
SQL databases.  This resource(s) will work closely with both Marathon and
supplier leveraged resources in supporting and administering the databases.
The resource(s) will also assist with creation and modification of table
structures in accordance with new application requirements for new projects.

1. Build and implement database availability plan
2. Build, test, and implement scripts to automate routine database tasks
3. Analyze customer application requirements and quantify their impact on
the capacity of the systems environment for new initiatives
4. Define existing database service catalog
5. Publish existing database services catalog
6. Evaluate and propose new database software and/or based on business
requirements provided by customer
7. Update from audit actions (if applicable) the database high availability
strategy
8. Update from audit actions (if applicable) the existing database platform
strategy in conjunction with infrastructure direction
9. Audit (on a defined frequency) the existing database platform strategy in
conjunction with infrastructure direction
10. Audit (on a defined frequency) the database high availability strategy
11. Architect and develop scheduling, monitoring and database system
reporting strategies
12. Architect and develop database backup and recovery strategies
13. Architect and develop a database disaster recovery strategy, linking in
to the overall customer BCP plan as applicable
14. Architect and develop a database high availability strategy
15. Architect and develop a data retention strategy, linking in to customer
retention policies and business requirements
16. Architect and develop a database platform strategy in conjunction with
infrastructure direction
