Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. - Develops cost-effective information technology solutions by analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing new and by modifying existing software applications that are relatively complex with full competency. - Coordinates with users to determine requirements. - Reviews systems under development and related documentation. - Resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. - Participates in the development of software user manuals. - May occasionally acts as team leader on less complex projects. - May assist in training less-experienced software development staff. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, MIS or similar area of study. Five to eight years of previous Information Technology experience required. Preferred: Master's Degree.
