Description: • Seeking an experienced and creative Seniror Embedded Software Engineer to develop world-class, high volume consumer electronic products for the web-connected environment. Required Skills and Experiences: • 5+ years of experience developing complex embedded software in C/C+ +, including power, performance, and memory/footprint optimizations • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience • Strong debugging capabilities in real-time and embedded systems • Understand all aspects embedded system SW - Compiler, Memory, IO, Emulators • Significant, current hands on experience with development on Linux platforms, tool chains, and associated libraries • Experience applying and building a broad range of open source software • Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills • Strong desire to work in a dynamic team environment, including embracing opportunity to closely collaborate with and coordinate efforts between engineers across software functions • Strong desire to get "outside of the box" and explore solutions from a variety of perspectives and make appropriate technical tradeoffs. • Must work quickly, creatively & decisively, delivering designs to suit product / project requirements Desired Skills and Experiences • Experience with platform bring up • Experience with networking technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G. • Experience in shipping software on mobile or handheld consumer electronic devices • ARM assembly • Experience with JTAG debugging • Solid development experience with Make and scripting • Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and source code version control systems.
