*Job description**:*
*We are* seeking a* Java Developer* (J2EE applications) to design and
develop new features and enhancements to current applications.
* *
*Duties and responsibilities:*
· Design and develop new application modules/features and
enhancements to current applications using J2EE standards
· Analyze the requirements, implement and unit test the solutions as
part of the SDLC under minimal supervision
*Minimum requirements:*
· 4+ years experience in application development
· Strong knowledge of developing applications using struts framework,
Java, J2EE
· Thorough knowledge of application development processes, tools,
Ajax , JSP, JSTL, HTML, servlets, tag libraries in Java, Struts
· Experience in XML messages parsing/parsing via web services
· Strong knowledge in Eclipse, Tomcat
· Strong background in SQL,JDBC using Oracle
*Preferred qualifications:*
· Knowledge of Security APIs, and Experience in Encryption and
Decryption algorithms preferred
· Bachelors in Computer Science or Masters degree in computer science

Analyzes, develops, tests and implements database designs in
support of corporate and client area technology requirements.
Performs data modeling, logical and physical database design.
Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring of standards and
procedures, access methods and time, validation checks, organization and
statistical methods.
Responsible for data loading, security, performance monitoring
and tuning, capacity planning, and backup and recovery.
Executes database software installation, database
creations/configurations and loads.
Support Oracle Database responsibility including and not limited
to performing database monitoring, supporting upgrades, handling the pager
rotation, monitoring implementing database security

*SKILLS REQUIRED FOR ALL 3 OPENINGS :*
PMs with prior large major consulting firm experience and large corporate hi
tech PMO experience. Must be Senior.
Key PM Skill areas to focus on:
Conflict Mgmt
Risk/Issue Management and Mitigation
Strong Negotiation and Influencing - Comfort with negotiating and driving
timely decisions (rather than consensus) when required.
Conflict, Problem, Issue Escalation Process (do not want someone that wants
to run to Sr Mgmt everytime there is a conflict, problem or issue.)
PMs are comfortable with and can deal with Sen Level people in Business
and IT with skill to push back and not be run over by them. This is a big
problem for them because too often these PMs just start saying yes to senior
people because they are senior and then they start to have conflicts between
Bus and IT because the PM cannot negotiate settlements and this requires Sr
PMO staff to get involved all the time. Trying to avoid this.
Work Independently
PMs are expected to be able to jump right into Mid size projects - Mid Deal
Size $1-$5M.
Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, often ambiguous and event
driven environment.
Strong communications skills (written and verbal) and comfortable
presentation and speaking skills. Must be able to present to executives
Successful ability to manage conflict with positive results
5+ years of successful project management experience (with references).
Used to managing 3-5 various projects. Mainly application based projects
but should be able to manage small infrastructure projects as needed.
Project size could be $50K to $2M.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver projects on time and within budget
Manage and track the progress of projects from requirements to design,
development, testing, launch, migration to production, and retirement
Provide independent view into progress in all areas
Successfully manage project expectations and clarify roles and
responsibilities when needed
Assist team in pro-actively flagging issues and risks that may fall between
two different projects, teams or functional areas
Ensure a strong, team-oriented working relationship
Act as the advocate for the Business. Effectively communicate with all
project stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with IT. Develop strong client
and stakeholder relationships.
Ensure that the project roadmap continuously reflects business priorities,
even as projects undergo change.
Establish, improve, and champion the use of formal project management tools
and techniques across in all assignments, in the areas of:
o Project and process plans
o Regular status reports and VP level reports
o Development and maintenance of accurate master schedules
o Creative and effective risk management, change management
o Management of issues and action items, tracking to timely resolution
o Ad hoc reporting tools that provide streamlined project visibility and
predictability
Specific Technical Competencies / Desired:
Masters degree and/or PMI, six sigma or CMMI certification
