Start Date 11/15/2010 - 5/31/2011 This project will involve updating/modifying existing Automated Test scripts, and creating new automated Test scripts as appropriate for the IS-Merchandising Systems projects. - Works well in a Team environment. We are not just looking for record and playback but someone who can write automation scripts in QTP from scratch using VB script. Experience and Skills: • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IS or equivalent experience • 7 to 10 Years of Quality assurance, technical testing, backend testing, services testing, front end testing and web development experience with at least 4 years experience involving automation testing or automation engineering n Software development projects . • Experience with test tools and utilities specifically HP Products • In-depth understanding of implementing and working within an automation framework. • Expert experience with automation framework design, implementation and maintenance • Knowledge of test automation tools and effective implementation techniques. • Knowledge of SDLC and Software Development methodologies • Specific experience and competency using HP QTP and its add-ins. . • Ability to write concise and well thought out test scripts • Adapt existing regression scripts for new applications. • In-depth understanding of automation framework concepts. • Strong knowledge of data driven test automation. • Ongoing Maintenance and support of existing QTP automation framework. • Must have strong experience with VB Scripting within QTP. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Expert-level knowledge (be a Subject Matter Expert) on HP Quick Test Pro (QTP). • Expert in data driven, keyword driving testing strategies • Experience with creation and maintenance of Business Process Components. • Excellent knowledge of automation script management, sequencing and scheduling automated test from Quality Center. • Excellent Knowledge in creating custom functions/subroutines libraries to support automation testing solutions using Quality Center and QTP • Previous experience designing automated flows scripts, in QTP using base framework. • Expertise w/VBscript to design automated scripts. • Extensive Descriptive Programming experience (writing scripts from scratch) • Expertise in programming skills and languages including TSL, C#, XML, XPAT, XSLT and SQL Desired Qualifications: • Experience in Retail domain • QTP Certification is a plus • Risk management and decision making • Solution building and innovative problem solving • Detail oriented and extremely analytical • Excellent organizational skills to include, scheduling monitoring and tracking Note that QTP and VB script are firm requirements. Must have strong and extensive automation experience. Experience in the retail domain would make a candidate stand out among others.
