Job Description:
Enterprise Transmission analysts research, analyze, and implement changes
and enhancements to communication systems that allow tracing of data through
the system, secured transmission solutions, and support the data disaster
recovery process. Function as a member of a project development team and
independently to develop minor modifications to existing JAVA programs and
support already deployed software. Ensure tasks are completed on a timely
basis and conform to specifications/processes and standardized best
practices.
Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in technical related field or related
certification required; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
. 3+ years of experience in IT solutions development preferably in
medium to large corporate environments. Experience in systems development
and project management.
. Broad range of network, server, and desktop knowledge, including
experience with JCL, data encryption, FTP, Perl, UNIX, Java, communications
protocols such as SFTP, SSL, SSH, PGP, AS1, AS2,
SMTP, and HTTP, Visio, and Microsoft office programs.
. Well developed written and verbal communication skills in customer
settings and with internal management. Well developed active listening,
facilitation and presentation skills.
. Knowledge of basic transportation management.
. Solid knowledge of IT software development life cycle
methodologies and processes.
. Basic project management skills. Well developed time management
and prioritization skills.
. Demonstrated analytical capabilities. Exposure to managing
customer expectations.
. Ability to learn and understand functionality of multiple
logistics-related systems.
. Ability to establish solid business relationships and work
effectively with senior business and client contacts.
. Ability to work and participate effectively in a dynamic team
environment.
