A big thing is I need a strong communicator.* * * * * *ETL DEVELOPER* *REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Design and develop batch and near-real time data integration solutions - Provide consultation and/or assist with design and development of data integration solutions for other teams - Interface with Database Administrators, Data Architects and Data Analysts in implementing appropriate data integration and processing strategies - Promote and champion the usage of established framework across the enterprise - Manage ETL defects, enhancement and new functionality requests to meet changes in the source systems and business needs - Collaborate with the Database Administrators in troubleshooting and performance tuning of processes - Analyze and understand source and target systems and their attributes - Assist with the monitoring and support of the ETL infrastructure (Informatica environment, scripts and utilities) - Proactively monitor development, staging and production Informatica environments - Work with other technology teams for maintaining the infrastructure - Provide production support for Data Acquisition and Distribution processes, systems and tools, as required - Identification and resolution of problems encountered with ETL processes, systems and tools, as required - Develop reusable software components stored procedures, triggers, SQL queries as required - Assist in designing, creating and testing prototypes while implementing new feature - Recommend and participate in standardization of processes and scripts - Analyze and identify current data processing deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement - Provide product training and support to teams and users as needed - Ensure that best practices and company standards are followed - Create necessary design, architecture and analysis documentation *REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required. Experience can substitute for education - A minimum of two (2) years of experience designing and developing ETL processes using tools and conventional scripting is required - A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on mapping development experience with Informatica Power Center(8.x) and Power Exchange(8.x) in Unix/Linux environments is required - A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on development experience with at least one of the following Database technologies: Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL is required - Thorough understanding of batch and near-real time ETL processing methodologies - Experience in handling, processing and managing large data sets - Exposure to multiple file formats and diverse data processing environments - Familiarity with .Net programming and Web services - Thorough understanding of relational databases including one or more of the following Database technologies: Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL - Understanding of Logical and Physical modeling concepts and database tuning methodologies - Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL and/or T-SQL and writing complex SQL queries - Experience with shell script & Perl programming - Power Exchange web service experience and unstructured data option are considered a plus - Ability to co-develop and reuse similar capabilities for data extraction, conversion and transformation processes - Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly - Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to address business problems - Ability to handle multiple tasks without supervision - Willingness and ability to work in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to work well independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and organizational skills *Thanks and Regards,* * * *Maria Agnes** *** Sales/Account Executive *Integrated Technology Strategies Inc;* Phone: 856-479-7016 Email: [email protected] Website: www.itstrategiesinc.com Yahoo: [email protected]; Gtalk: [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
